Pristine Water Systems Australia (PWS) embodies purity. Our products emulate clean, healthy living. For this reason, it is imperative that all PWS Franchisees abide by the strict Dress Standards and Clean Image that our products portray.

Your vehicle, equipment and your personal presentation is the first impression that new or prospective clients will receive. There is no such thing as a second chance with the first impression. Please make sure that presentation is of a professional level at all times.

The visual impression that is received from by public is an indication of the overall quality and the level of professionalism that we have to offer. Please keep this in mind when you are operating your business.

10.1 Dress Standards

All Franchisees are supplied with:

5 blue polo shirts
2 white dress polo shirts
1 blue dress jacket
1 weatherproof work jacket
2 Hard Yakka work shorts
2 Hard Yakka long dress pants
2 peaked caps

An optional long-sleeve t-shirt (collared) is available. You will need to discuss this with PWSA head office.

You will provide your own footwear. We suggest a soft running shoe, because of the strenuous nature of climbing up and down ladders etc. Shoes with non-slip soles are recommended for your safety.

Blue denim jeans are unacceptable. PWS has a corporate image to uphold, congruent to the company standards.

Dress shoes are only required for corporate events, or promotional activity. Black leather dress shoes are the company standard.

For all events where you are representing your franchise and PWS, such as meetings with councils, formal job quotes, and corporate events, Dress trousers with the White polo shirt and dress Blue jacket are to be worn.

For those working in colder climates, PWS can provide a long sleeve hard yakka work shirt as part of your hand over pack.

Also available is a cold weather jacket.

It is required that all Franchisees adhere to this dress code in order to portray a professional image and one that is standardised.

10.2 Conduct with Customers

When arriving at a job, introduce yourself to the customer. This is a good opportunity to give them what we call a “show bag” pack which consists of: a brochure, a magnet and a business card

On completion of the job, after spending time, money to go there, this is another opportunity to leave for eg; a PWS sticker on the tank, downpipe, water filter or somewhere visible etc. This will “tag” the service you have just done back to you.

Always call the client back after a couple of days to find out if the client is happy with the service performed, and if you can assist them further
Never miss an opportunity to talk to neighbours in regard to services we offer. Leave a flyer if they are not home, and also leave one at surrounding houses. You can also mention to the client your with if they know of any neighbours or friends who may require our services.

10.2.1 Conduct at the Clients Premises

If you want repeat business, then you must be on your best behaviour at all times.

Remember, this is someone’s home. Be courteous, respectful, and mind your language.

10.2.2 Phone Conversations and Messages

To maintain professionalism and to keep PWS moving forward, it is necessary that everyone has a similar answer message on their phone, as we have found that this system works best.

10.3 Time Management - Timeliness

Punctuality is paramount in our business. Revenue is generated by the more clients we are able to see in a day. Therefore, we will always be tempted to “squeeze” extra clients in where ever possible.

Be sure, however, to leave plenty of time to travel between jobs so that you do not delay later jobs throughout the day.

Should you find you are likely to be late for your next appointment, take the time to call ahead. Your client will appreciate the courtesy, and this will help prevent any potential negativity that may arise otherwise.

Time management will be one of the key factors to your business becoming successful. You will learn to manage your time better in due course.

10.4 Vehicle Presentation

The PWS management team is unyielding in its approach to vehicle presentation.

Your vehicle is the first thing your client will see, in most cases. The PWS product represents a clean, pure image. Should you arrive at a clients residence with a vehicle that is filthy, in disrepair or unkempt, you are setting the wrong image for your business.

We suggest you take the time once a week to wash and clean your vehicle, and inspect the outside of the vehicle for any damage or need for repair.

It is a term in your franchise agreement to maintain a clean and reliable vehicle. Please refer to Clause #14.3, which states:

"The Franchisee shall conduct the Franchised Business in accordance with this Agreement and the Manual and all or any other video and audio publication or any internet or electronic media prepared or authorised by the Franchisor and any amendments to any manuals or publications or as communicated by writing or electronic media from the Franchisor to the Franchisee.”

The above images represent the minimal standard you must uphold of cleanliness and tidiness. Whilst it is expected that your vehicle will gather dust and dirt during the operation of your business, regular maintenance and cleaning will help ensure a poor image is not portrayed.

Outside of Vehicle: washing your vehicle once a week will help save time and maintain a clean, presentable image

Vehicle Cabin: a clean cabin will help keep your uniform clean, and ensure that any paper work presented to the client will be kept clean as well

Equipment: clean equipment will operate more efficiently and require fewer repairs. At the same time, it will allow you to identify if there are any problems that require attention.
